Kryolan Bald Cap – Glatzan

Description

Kryolan Glatzan Bald Caps are made from a liquid bald cap material that allows the cap to be extremely thin while remaining tear-resistant. Another feature that makes these bald caps popular is that the edges can be dissolved with acetone to create a seamless edge.

Application: To apply make sure the actor’s hair is slicked down, this will reduce wrinkling. Place bald cap over the actor’s head and pull down until cap is tight and then trim excess. Once the bald cap is trimmed start gluing first with the forehead and then the nape of the neck with pros-aide or silicone adhesive. Once glued dissolve edges with acetone. If you find an edge that is hard to blend you can use pros-aid cream to help smooth and blend the troubled edge. Once blended stipple a layer of pros-aid over the entire cap and let dry. This will help ensure the makeup adheres to the bald cap. Although any makeup can be used, it is recommended that you use PAX Paint or Rubber Mask Grease Paint for best results.

Removal: To remove simply use Isopropyl Myristate, Bond off, or Supersolve.

Pro Tip: Before application warm up the bald cap with a blow dryer on low inside and out. This will help relax the bald cap and promote better flexibility.
